What if success isn’t something you chase, but a way of life?
I used to believe success was defined by how much I accomplished in my life.
But something deeper in me always questioned that definition. Maybe success isn’t about ticking boxes. Maybe it is about peace in my mind.
Over time, my understanding of success transformed. And it may continue to do so.
Today, success means to me being able to do what I want every day.
It’s a life aligned with my values.
A home that feels like a sanctuary.
Success feels like:
- Peace in my mind
- Softness in my body
- Freedom in my calendar
- Slow mornings
- homemade nourishing food
- Living authentically, speaking honestly, and loving deeply
- Joy in my work and life
It’s not about more. It’s about meaning.
It’s about contributing to others while staying rooted in myself.
It’s about being deeply satisfied with who I am and how I’m living; even while I grow, evolve, and pursue new dreams.
My worth and contentment are no longer tied to whether I hit a certain goal.
A Way of Living
I’ve realised that success can look like doing less. Resting more. Saying no. Not proving anything. Some of my most successful days were when I was fully present: Sharing a meal with close friends, tending to the garden, writing from the heart, dancing barefoot in the kitchen.
We live in a world that often equates success with hustle, visibility, or consumerism. But I’ve come to believe that true success is more inward. It’s something you allow, create, and embody.
Success is how I approach challenges, how I learn from failures.
Failures, by the way, are not the opposite of success. They’re an essential part of it. They shape us, teach us, humble us, and offer us the chance to grow. You can be successful even when things fall apart. If you’re still learning, still loving, still aligned.
Privilege and Possibility
The circumstances we are born into, our access to safety, support, or opportunity, shape the road ahead. Privilege makes things easier, but it doesn’t define who gets to live a meaningful, aligned life. Everyone has the chance to feel successful. It may take more inner work, courage, and unlearning, but it is possible.
Final Thoughts
Success isn’t about what I achieve.
It’s about how much joy I feel while living.
It’s about being deeply satisfied with who I am and how I’m living.
It’s about loving deeply.
So if today you feel nourished, connected, and at peace
maybe you’re more successful than you think.
